And since the appointment show is held outside of regular conference hours, you get all the education and networking you came for too!

What Is It?

The SEC Appointment Show is where suppliers from the Florida Marketplace can meet the best Florida buyers in the world in an efficient environment conducive to doing real business. It is:

  • Maximum one-on-one time with qualified planners
  • 40-60 Hosted Planners looking to put their meetings in Florida
  • 40-60 Suppliers , representing hotels, hotel groups, DMC's, special event services, AV, transportation, teambuilding/training and much MORE
  • 15-20 Guaranteed pre-scheduled appointments with planners in a qualified match-up
  • A way to meet Planners in a very efficient yet relaxed manner
Hosted Planner Qualification Process

Each Planner is carefully selected, pre-qualified and reference-checked to ensure only buyers who have a genuine interest in Florida products and services are invited. All applicants must supply:

  • Details about their business
  • Number of events organized per year, split geographically
  • Destinations where they organize events
  • The average size of the groups that they organize
  • The type of events they organize
  • The applicant's position / buying role within the company
  • A list of references

This information is carefully assessed and we follow up on references for every planner.

This allows us to ensure you meet with the highest-value hosted planners in the industry.

What You Receive
  • One-on-One appointments with planners matched to your business offering
  • Qualified Planners with business to place in the Florida marketplace
  • Planners committed to participating in the appointment show (Planners receive free conference registration and hotel rooms for three nights )
  • One delegate per table / 1 set of appointments
  • Table signage
  • Participation in the Qualified Match-up System, to match you with the most qualified planners at the show
  • Your meetings are pre-arranged and your schedule is sent to you in advance of the conference to allow you to prepare
  • A complete listing of all Hosted Planners, to allow you to network at other SEC functions and follow up after the conference
  • Private lunch and a private cocktail reception for only the participants in the appointment show
Schedule
  • Wednesday, August 8th, 2012
  • 11:30 to 12:00 Transfer to Gaylord Palms
  • 12:00 to 1:00 Hosted Lunch for Appointment Show Participants only
  • 1:00 to 1:10 Welcome and Briefing
  • 1:10 to 3:00 Rotation #1 (approximately 10 appts)
  • 3:00 to 3:30 Break
  • 3:30 to 5:00 Rotation #2 (approximately 10 appts)
  • 5:00 til ?? Cocktail Reception and Hors'deouvres/Dinner
  • 5:30 til ?? Transfers back to World Center Marriott
Investment

The Hosted Buyer Appointment Show cost is $1250 per person. This includes one set of appointments, lunch, coffee break, and the cocktail reception. Full payment must be received with your registration form in order to process. Appointment sharing is not allowed. Additional delegate fee is $1250.

Miscellaneous Information

Conference Registration

SEC Conference registration is required to participate in the appointment show, and is not included in the cost of the Hosted Planner Appointment Show fee.

Planner Invites

Booking Conditions & Cancellation Policy

MPI SEC reserves the right to decline your registration without reason.

Should the organizer cancel this event, the organizer will not be liable for any consequential damages incurred due to such cancellation.
